Welcome to our new website
The VAGTC is pleased to bring you our new website. We hope you enjoy using it and would welcome your feedback via: infolorax [at] vagtc [dot] asn [dot] au.
The VAGTC has recently launched a revamped website. The one year project has been an opportunity for the VAGTC to review what it offers members and even more fundamentally, what are the aims of the VAGTC.
A team from the VAGTC committee formed a subcommittee to plan and implement a new website which would reflect the organisation as it operates today. We also wanted to have a website that is attractive to our members and provides relevant and current information about gifted education.
The new website is designed to be a more user-friendly website to members and non-members alike. Users can easily navigate around the new website to find information on gifted and talented education.
We aim to serve as advocates of gifted and talented education in Victoria and thus want to provide people with as much information as possible about giftedness. We also plan to link you in with other valuable resources around Victoria and Australia.
The VAGTC has also planned and implemented a members only section on the website. This section will contains an evolving collection of conference papers, newsletters, presentations and other valuable resources.
People interested in gifted and talented education can now become a member of the VAGTC online via our website. Adding an online joining option is a major feature of the new website and a step in making the organisation more accessible to more people.
We hope the new website will also provide an opportunity to better advertise upcoming twilight seminars, which are a major service the VAGTC provides to members and non-members alike. The twilight seminars provide valuable professional learning and development to teachers in Victoria. Twilight seminar topics range each year and aim to assist teachers in gaining professional learning and development in areas of current interest and need.
The new website will also serve as a marketing tool to advertise the upcoming biannual conference, which is on September 8 and 9 in 2011. We hope to keep members informed about speakers and sessions available at the conference via the website. Conference papers and PowerPoint presentations will also be available on the website after the conference. These resources will be made available in the members only section of the site.
